Wow. I suck at blogging! I can't believe it's been almost 3 months since I've blogged.
I did try to blog about my Killarney trip and will finish that very long post hopefully sometime soon. There was just a lot going on.

-heading back to SMC for another summer of camp! whoohoo
-moving to Thunder Bay in Sept for school (teacher's college here I come!)

an (weak) epihany

One of the reasons I thought I would get back into blogging is because it is a great place for me to record some of my random thoughts. I had a random thought in church back in January. The sermon was on the wise men and how they were educated and found the star, followed it and found Jesus, etc. Anyways I just thought it was neat that God revealed himself through a star -he used astronomy and encouraged thepeople who were studying the stars (so not biblical scholars or religious leaders) to come and seek him. Basically God took a group of people who were not overly religious -wisemen, shepherds to meet on his first day on earth. Anyways, it was back in January and I didn't write it down when I should have so a lot of my initial thoughts and connections are gone.But it was mainly that God chose non-religious folk and he used their gift's and talents to reveal himself. huh.

im back

i needed to rant and so decided to blog about it.

my main frustration currently is that why is the life choice to get married rewarded with big fancy expensive gifts? why cannot my life choice to go to grad school or live on my own be rewarded as equally?

that may seem like bitterness, but truly it is just frustration. between february and july i have 5 weddings. in one of those weddings i am the maid of honour. and the world is in economic turmoil. i'm just feeling a little strapped for cash is all people.

done with this for awhile

I think my blog has finally lost it's novelty. Perhaps it's because everyone has one now (and you know me and my trendiness ;)). I think facebook and instant chatting and the ability to see most of my close friends more often has minimized my need for a blog. I also don't have a lot to say. And not a lot that I want lots of strangers reading. I have entertained putting a password on my blog, but then I feel that is a bit extreme -and then I'd have to remember yet ANOTHER password. So I think for now I will take an official break. I think once I get back into a more insanely active lifestyle, like if I go back to school or live miles away from my friends I will return to the blog. But for now, I'm done.

I feel like a woodland creature. All I feel that I do is eat and sleep...like I am preparing for a long, big winter. I hope this isn't true. I am all ready looking forward to summer and to camp! Here's hoping that grad school is a go!!!

hrrmmm

I've been thinking. Thinking a lot lately, about a lot of things. currently I am trying to decide if going back to grad school is actually in my best interest. I've also been looking at a job posting that's been up for the last 3 months and am deciding if it is worthwhile to apply to it. It would mean a move as I'm not to sure I could afford to keep my current place. And that would bring a whole host of questions of how to move, plus it's a contract position. I also want to get more involved and am having trouble finding the kinds of things I want to do, like a recreation group filled with people close to my age. I need to get out more..but it's hard to find ways to do that.

I'm watching Baby Mama and quite enjoying it. It is rather funny. I've got nothing new to truly report. I'm trying to find a volunteer position that's not with kids and more with the environment.

I went camping last weekend and did some caving, rappelling and climbing. It was a lot of fun and pictures are up on flickr! I can't wait to find a full time camp job!!
